Vinted Users Express Anger Over Sizing Changes
Vinted users have been reacting angrily after an update resulted in listings displaying inaccurate size information.
The popular resale platform has altered its sizing categories for women's and children's clothes without notifying all users about the change.
Digital Channels Backlash
Many shoppers and sellers are expressing on platforms claiming that product pages now present a modified sizing category versus the original listing as a result of the reclassification.
The company said the revised method more closely matches similar services.
They have suggested members to review their products and adjust the sizing manually where appropriate, resulting in member annoyance.
Size Classification Changes
Earlier, the sizing featured numerical and alphabetical indicators, such as S/8 or M/10.
The new system has a letter with a size spectrum such as S/UK 8-10.
In some cases, the size labels have been reassigned - for example a size L was formerly size 12 but currently displays as UK 16-18.

A fashion influencer, who creates plus-size fashion videos, explained the modification "makes transactions more difficult".
"Rarely do manufacturers list XL as sizes 20-22," as the platform currently indicates.
Stephanie Gallen, based in Glasgow, stated items she posted on Vinted with size 14 labels were showing in the marketplace as larger sizing 20-22.
"If anyone [who is] size 20-22 buys them they will likely be quite upset," she said.
Required Changes
A different user, from Derby, explained she became annoyed due to the update requiring manual adjustment the sizes on "every single listing".
"Personally, this is quite irritating, because of my ongoing medical condition and selling on Vinted has been paramount following partial earnings loss," she said.
Service Background
The platform boasts over 100 million users, with 18 million British users.
It has proved a popular alternative versus similar marketplaces including eBay and Depop.
This is not the initial instance that an unexpected update to the app has proved unpopular: previously, the platform withdrew an update concerning shipment methods following member complaints.
